Installation cost depends on the type and size of system, and your home's layout. As a rough guide:

  • Split system (supply & install): from $1,200–$2,500+ depending on the kW rating and brand
  • Multi-head systems: from $3,500+ for a 3-zone setup
  • Ducted systems: from $6,000–$15,000+ depending on home size and zones

  • Mitsubishi Electricour most popular choice for residential
  • Daikinexcellent for ducted systems
  • Fujitsureliable, great value
  • LGstrong multi-head range

Sizing depends on the room area, ceiling height, insulation, sun exposure, and whether it's a bedroom or living area. As a starting guide:

  • Up to 20m² (small bedroom): 2.5kW
  • 20–35m² (main bedroom, study): 3.5kW
  • 35–60m² (open-plan lounge): 6–7kW
  • 60–80m²+ (large living area): 8–9kW+

We always assess the space before recommending a unit — an undersized system will struggle in summer, and an oversized one wastes electricity. We'll get it right.

We recommend servicing your air conditioner at least once a year, ideally before summer. Regular servicing:

  • Extends the life of your unit
  • Keeps it running at peak efficiency (lower power bills)
  • Catches small issues before they become expensive repairs
  • Keeps the air quality clean (dirty filters can cause respiratory problems)

Service visits start from around $150–$250 for a standard split system. Commercial systems with multiple heads will vary. Ask us about a service package if you have multiple units.

Switchboard upgrade costs vary depending on the size of your home and the current condition of your board. Typical pricing:

  • Single-phase upgrade (standard home): $1,500–$2,500
  • Three-phase upgrade: $2,500–$4,000+
  • Adding safety switches/RCDs: from $300

If your switchboard is more than 25 years old, has ceramic fuses, or keeps tripping, it's worth getting it assessed. We offer free quotes and can usually diagnose issues on the first visit.

Yes. We offer 24/7 emergency callouts for urgent electrical faults and air con failures. If you have a safety issue — sparking outlets, tripped boards that won't reset, or your system has died in the middle of a heatwave — call us immediately on 0428 631 931.

Emergency call-out rates do apply outside of normal business hours. We'll always tell you the cost upfront before we come out so there are no surprises.

The most common reasons an air conditioner stops cooling well:

  • Dirty filtersrestricts airflow, the most common fix (clean them monthly)
  • Low refrigerant gasthe unit has a slow leak and needs a top-up
  • Dirty condenser coils (outdoor unit)reduces heat exchange efficiency
  • The unit is undersizedfor the space
  • Faulty compressor or sensorrequires professional diagnosis

Before calling us, check that: the filter is clean, the outdoor unit isn't blocked, and all vents are open. If it's still not right, call us — most issues are diagnosed and fixed in a single visit.

No — not in NSW. All electrical work beyond very minor tasks (like replacing a lightbulb or resetting a safety switch) must be carried out by a licensed electrician. This is a legal requirement under Australian law.

Unlicensed electrical work is dangerous and can void your home insurance. It can also cause fires, electrocution, and may result in significant fines. If you're in doubt, call us — we can often quote over the phone for straightforward jobs.

Always. We provide clear, written quotes before any work begins. The quote includes:

  • Itemised labour and material costs
  • The scope of work — exactly what will and won't be included
  • Any conditions or assumptions

We never start work without your approval. And once you accept a quote, that's the price — no hidden extras. If we find something unexpected during the job, we stop and talk to you before proceeding.

Yes. All workmanship is covered by our labour warranty — if something we installed or repaired fails due to our workmanship, we'll come back and fix it at no charge.

Equipment and product warranties are provided by the manufacturer and typically cover 5 years for air conditioning units and 1–2 years for electrical components. We'll walk you through any warranties that apply to your job before we finish up.
